San Diego Events

ASC San Diego is happy to announce that we are moving to a new, bigger office as of Wednesday May 27th, 2009. Our new location will be:

We anticpate the move being completed by the end of May, and will be having an Open House in June to welcome all current ASC staff and families to see the new office. This new office will have a reception room, assessment/clinic room, a work area for staff, a Supervisors room, as well as private offices for Samaji Akili, our Clinic Administrator and Dr. Holman, our Executive Clinical Director.

Autism Spectum Consultants is looking to add quality individuals to our team. Positions currently available:

Case Supervisor (BCBA):

ASC San Diego is accepting applications for the position of Case Supervior. This position requires a current Board Certified Behavioral Analyst certification in good standing. The Case Supervisor's responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Functional Behavioral Analysis for incoming clients
  • Development of Applied Behavior Analysis programs based on FBA
  • Conducting team meetings and managing staff for assigned client's teams
  • Collaboratiing with Director(s) through regular indvidual and group supervision meetings
  • Collaborating with funding source(s) in regularly scheduled programming meetings and throughout evolution of program
  • Educating and collaborating with parents/gaurdians to optimize program efficacy

Behavioral Therapist:

We are considering candidates with an educational background or focus in Education, Psychology, Sociology or related field and preferably experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis Techniques and/or School Shadowing. Paid training is provided by ASC. Training includes: School Shadowing, Home Therapy Techniques and Social Skills Groups.

The Behavioral Therapist will be part of a team that utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis and other Behavioral Modification techniques and strategies. These strategies help children with Autistic Disorder to learn in the following areas:

  • Motor Skills
  • Behavior
  • Self Help
  • Play Skills
  • Language Skills
  • Generalization
  • Academics
  • Social Skills
  • Theory of Mind (perspective taking)

The Behavioral Therapist will be responsible for:

  • School shadowing
  • One-to-One direct home therapy
  • Bi-weekly clinical team meetings

Part-time and/or full time opportunities are available.
